If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. I have shot it, it shoots fine, but does not eject shells properly. If it were my gun, Id do it myself because Im confident. Its not likely to ever become a really light trigger, but some prudent work on the hammer/sear engagement notch would likely reduce the pull weight to around 4.5 to 5 pounds and also reduce the creep if done properly. We would not sell an ad that we would not display ourselves. I own an Iver Johnson 12 gauge Champion, single barrel shotgun. It most likely needs some gunsmithing work on the hammer and sear. shipments include delivery confirmation All ads are stored in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment Grading, All of our ads are in "EXCELLENT" condition, nothing less. This shotgun was seized by British forces during the Irish Republican rising in Dublin at Easter 1916. The author of this website DOES NOT have any parts. This gun is not worth a whole lot although I think it is in pretty good condition and I think I would like to get it in good shooting condition and hang it on a wall. Most pictures I have seen of serial numbers on Champions is on the plate on the stock side of the trigger, are there optional places for the serial? The date is obviously post 02 from what little I have read I believe ir would be before 08. ![]() So as I said before there is a lot I don't know. I can barely move the break pivot and I don't want to force itbecause it seems that it is fairly fragile. I have been told that something was welded with the opening lever. Trigger, hammer and ejector seem to work but may be a bit gummy. Not a coil spring like the champion model. I do not want to damage anything but the low value of the gun does not allow a trip to the gun smith. If anyone knows a safe way to remove the main spring in this rare model please let me know the procedure. This morning I was able to open the gun while dirty with some sort of yellowish powder the barrel looks good. However I need to disassemble the action to find out. It has a 30 inch barrel, I believe it is a 12 gauge. The only printing, I can see, on the gun is on the top of the barrel with simply Champion and a April O1 patent and April 02 patent pending. ![]() I aquired a new (to me) shotgun yesterday, whole researching it I found some knowledgeable folks here on this group so I joined. ![]()
